Brujos outrebounded Independiente 53-37 including a 40-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Jerry Surrency III (183-2002, college: PS Scranton) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. accounted for 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side. American guard Darnell Johnson (201, college: CSUSB, agency: Gulf Coast Hoops) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Lincoln Smith added 24 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Independiente in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brujos maintains eleventh place with 1-16 record. Loser Independiente keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Santa Ana and Santa Tecla.
